Our People |
Mark has been in the furniture business in San Diego for the past 17 years. He started out in sales and moved up to Sales Manager of the largest refurbisher in San Diego. Seven years ago he decided that he could do things a little better and started Cubicles Office Environments, Inc. with an emphasis on customer service and providing value driven products.
From a small 1,600sqft warehouse with one employee (himself), he now has 11 full time employees in a 7,000sqft office, warehouse, and showroom that he purchased in 2004.
Mark has been married to Misty (the real boss) for the past 16 years. He has 3 great kids, 2 sons in law (one of which works for him, Erwin), and a beautiful 2 year old granddaughter.
Misty runs the books and office of the company and also acts as the den mother. When someone has a problem, she is there for a solution.
Her years doing the books for her father's construction company and her years as a mother helped prepare her for this position.
Her granddaughter is her only boss.
Sam has been in the office furniture business for the past 14 years. He started out as an installer and worked his way up to Production Manager where he was in charge of 30 employees at the same company Mark started at.
Because of his work ethic and ability to fix anything, Sam was the first employee Mark hired away from their old company.
Sam enjoys golf although he thinks he is much better than he is. He also has a wonderful girlfriend named Rorri who keeps him grounded.
Randy has been in the office furniture business for over 10 years. His ability to track down new leads and his gift of gab make him an integral part of the Cubicles sales staff.
He is a great golfer and his ability to shave strokes off Mark is golf game makes him an even greater asset to Cubicles.
Erwin has been an employee of Cubicles for 2+ years. He came from a Restaurant Management background and his customer service skills have translated well to his ability to listen to the clients' needs and solve their problems.
Erwin is married to Mark and Misty's daughter, Monique, and has a beautiful 2 year old daughter named Madison. Although Madison has Mark and Misty wrapped around her finger, the same cannot be said for Erwin. If anything, Erwin has it harder than any other employee.
Erwin loves to fish, watch movies and hang out with his family (in no particular order).
Joe has been in the furniture business for 13 years. He started in the manufacturing plant at the company that Sam and Mark worked at and moved his way up to Project Lead. Joe was the second hire Mark made away from their old company. His hard work and dedication are his two best assets.
Joe is married with two beautiful daughters. He loves off-roading and working on his custom sand rail.
Mike has been in the furniture industry since 1993. He knows something about most systems. His calm demeanor helps tremendously when things get a little hectic.
Mike and his wife have been involved in the music and entertainment industry since 1983 and have worked with people such as Snoop Dogg and Raven Simone.
Alex has been with Cubicles for about a year. He is extremely personable and articulate, which he has used to move up to Project Lead very quickly.
Alex is also an artist and his creative side fits in well at Cubicles.
Augie has been with Cubicles for one year. He is extremely hard working and has a great mechanical mind which is extremely important when he is out on an install.
He loves working on cars and is currently building a performance Supra.

Our Team |
Another beautiful sunny day at Del Mar. The big winner was Sam as usual. He has no idea what he is doing but always wins the most.
The food, drinks, and company were great. One of those days you always think back to.
We have lunch right before we go racing. Probably not the best idea as Mike go a little motion sick. We had 15 practice laps followed by 15 qualifying laps then the 15 lap main event.
There was a 1st place prize of $100 and a 2nd place prize of $50. Mark (the owner) won but took himself out of the cash consideration and awarded first to Augie and 2nd to Joe.
Deep Sea fishing was another one of those days that you always remember. We got onto the boat at 7am out of Oceanside and had our poles in the water off the La Jolla kelp beds by 8:30 am. The fish were biting and everybody caught at least 7 fish each.
The winner for largest fish was Erwin which was a good thing because he is a fishing junkie. I am not kidding, his two favorite magazines are Bass Monthly and The One That Got Away (okay, we made the last one up).
